I’m Mohamed Kazzaz, a fine-art photographer in Germany exploring landscapes, cityscapes, and architecture.

My work is shaped by light, atmosphere, and the quiet relationship between the natural and built world.

I'm Mohamed Kazzaz, a fine art photographer based in Frankfurt. Trained as an architect and working across Egypt, the UAE, and Germany for nearly two decades, I came to photography through the buildings I helped construct.
I photograph what most people walk past, but at different times when late or early light moves across a German forest, the geometry of Abu Dhabi’s skyline at blue hour, or the quiet weight of Islamic Cairo at night. I’m drawn to those in-between moments where structure or landscape and atmosphere quietly align.
My aim is to produce images that feel timeless, cinematic, atmospheric, and quietly immersive work that holds attention and invites long viewing beyond the first look , and stay with the viewer.
My work moves between worlds. From the MENA region, Egypt, where I grew up. Through the UAE, where I lived a chapter of my life. To Germany and Europe, where I am based today. Landscapes that carry silence. Cities that carry history. Architecture that carries both.
I work slowly. Tripod-mounted, planned, often returning to the same location across seasons until the light is right. The result is a body of work I think of as quietly cinematic and atmospheric images shaped by patience, repetition, and waiting for the moment to arrive.
My work has been exhibited and licensed internationally through 1x.com platform, and is held in private collections across Europe and the MENA region, and featured in Egypt’s Youm Al-Youm newspaper.
My Gear
I work primarily with a Nikon Z mirrorless system, supported by a Nikon DSLRs for select work, and a curated set of prime and zoom lenses chosen for my type of photography work from Nikon, Tamron, and Sigma.
